England Day 1

Two long flights and a short stopover in Dubai and we're in London. We had the pleasure of travelling in A380's on both legs of the journey. Glen had chosen excellent seats some time ago. Near the front, middle so nobody to climb over during the night. There's a fair bit of night given that we left just after 9 pm Sunday and touch down at Heathrow at midday. Emirates were once again a pleasure to fly with, good food and lovely service.

Steve was waiting for us as we exited the Tube Station at Hammersmith. His poor old mum and dad looking the worse for wear.

Steve and Eryn live in a lovely street (Hammersmith Grove) terrace houses on both sides, their first floor apartment is the one with the herbs on the window ledge.

We couldn't get into the shower quick enough, and then sit down before Eryn arrives home from work and pen a few words for our Day.

Tomorrow we'll explore the local area and probably central London and get ourselves organised for the Trafalgar tour (European Accent), which starts with the crows on Wednesday. I hope we're over our jet lag by then! It's a whirlwind tour of Europe but we will hopefully see some great sights and at least make an interesting blog. We are very to have you watching our trip and even more delighted should you feel moved to make a quick comment.

Pre-trip excitement

Here it is the middle of September and we have our 2013 holiday in sight..

The plan is to leave on September 29 and fly via Dubai to the UK - London. Stay with Steve & Eryn overnight and then off on a Trafalgar Tour called EUROPEAN ACCENT 14 days.

After that we will visit the Neaums in the south of England before Steve and Eryn join us for a weekend in the English Countryside near Canterbury.

The following week Ray has meetings with the Diocese of London before we have another gorgeous weekend away with S & E in Somerset.

We will depart the shores of the Old Dart for Kuala Lumpar on the 27th October and spend two nights there before returning to Melbourne on 1st November.
